Save the date! Planning touches many areas of life. Here are a few upcoming events of interest:
February 25: VTrans Transportation Forum. The Vermont Agency of Transportation and Rutland Regional Planning Commission invite you to attend a forum on transportation. Deputy Secretary of Transportation Sue Minter will be leading a public meeting to gather feedback on the agency’s strategic goals, priorities and performance. VTrans staff will describe the agency’s strategic plan and how progress towards goals is tracked, funding and other transportation challenges, and innovations and efficiency measures being deployed to help the agency achieve its mission to provide for the safe movement of people and goods in a reliable, cost-effective and environmentally responsible manner. The Agency is also interested in hearing about local and regional transportation issues. The feedback will help the agency update and prioritize its goals, track what matters most to the public and will inform the development of the statewide transportation plan. 6:30-8:00 pm, Rutland High School Theater, 22 Stratton Rd., Rutland, VT.
March 18: The Brandon Selectboard will conduct a public hearing to formally accept the re-survey of TH 22 / Churchill Bridge Road. The hearing will begin with a site visit at 5 pm (parking at the turnout at the intersection of Route 73 and Churchill Bridge Road). The hearing will then reconvene at the Brandon Rescue Squad building.
March 28: Health and Planning in the Rutland Region, at 5 pm in the CVPS Leahy Center at Rutland Regional Medical Center, 160 Allen St., Rutland.
