Insect Invaders

February 8, 2013 by Jeff

Punxsutawney Phil predicted an early spring this year. With the return of the warmth comes the return of critters that have been holed up for the winter.

The Girl Scouts invite everyone to learn about a few of these critters that don’t belong, invasive insects. From their announcement:

Ever wonder what the heck those purple boxes are hanging from the trees? Want to hunt alien invaders of a different kind whilst in pursuit of an elusive bird?

Learn how to combine birding and alien hunting and find out what you can do to help protect our trees and wildlife at this hands-on program on invasive insects.

All ages welcomed!
