Wildlife Corridor – Rescheduled Workshop

January 31, 2013 by Jeff

We apologize for the typos in the formal notices that went out this week. (It’s my fault.)

In case you missed the postings on the Town website or the Reporter, let’s reprise:

You are invited . . .

Help conserve Brandon’s Wildlife Corridor – a vital link for moose, bear, and other animals from the Adirondacks to the Green Mountains. Whether you are someone who enjoys the outdoors, has a woodlot, or just likes knowing there’s some “nature” out there, this community planning workshop is for you!

The Planning Commission will host two workshops for people interested in wildlife, healthy forests, and Brandon’s future.

1. Saturday, February 2, at 10 am in the basement of Town Hall, we will discuss:

  • Importance and location of the corridor itself;
  • A plan of action and the desirability of various conservation tools, including a possible zoning overlay district, purchase, and conservation agreements.

2. Date and time TBD:

  • Regroup to discuss findings and recommendations from the first meeting;
  • Finalize an action plan.

See you soon!

Your Brandon Planning Commission
