Brandon’s “Wild Life”

November 28, 2012 by Jeff

As the nights get longer and the days get colder, the events calendar in The Reporter fills with warm, inside events.

Of particular note is a presentation on black bears by wildlife biologist Ben Kilham at OVUHS on November 30, from 7-9 pm. The event will begin with a presentation by the Staying Connected Initiative about the wildlife corridor that runs right through the southern half of Brandon.

Folks from the Initiative will again visit Brandon on December 11. Starting at 7 pm (refreshments at 6:45!) in the hall of the Congregational Church, the Planning Commission will open a discussion on the merits and challenges in designating a wildlife corridor zoning district in Brandon. Anyone who loves the outdoors or has property (especially south of Route 73 to the Pittsford line) is highly encouraged to attend, but all are welcome!
